Our smallest but still large Trinkschale für Katzen (Drinking Bowl for Cats), the '180 - Crystal Glass',  with its generous inner diameter of 180 mm at the upper inner edge, is perfect for cats with shorter whiskers (up to approx. 7 cm whisker length). CRYSTAL GLASS STANDS FOR 'LEAD-FREE PREMIUM CRYSTAL GLASS 100% MADE IN GERMANY':

Manufactured to the very highest standards – with perfect craftsmanship and using the highest quality raw materials – the hot glass from the furnace is mouth-blown at 1200° Celsius into a negative beechwood mold. After many further steps to size and shape the drinking bowl, the logo on the Albanine & Knuffl® Trinkschale für Katzen (Drinking Bowl for Cats) is being sandblasted instead of being printed or lacquered, as is the case with standard glasses. This results in a signature ‘for eternity’ to match the high-quality crystal glass. Just like a high-quality wine glass. It goes without saying that only lead-free crystal glass is used for Albanine & Knuffl® drinking bowls – first-class, stable, and durable.

EXTREMELY WHISKER-FRIENDLY

The '180 - Crystal Glass' is extremely whisker-friendly – a pleasant drinking experience for your cat:

The generous inner diameter and the outwardly curved side wall that minimises whisker resistance (inner height approx. 46 mm) in combination with an extremely smooth surface for the lowest possible whisker friction reliably prevent extremely unpleasant whisker over-stimulation for your cat (constant overloading of the nervous system). In many cats, this leads to the so-called whisker stress syndrome – but is in any case extremely unpleasant for your cat. You can find more information on this here. The extremely smooth surface also significantly reduces the risk of permanent bacterial contamination.

Note:

As the drinking bowl should always be filled as full as possible anyway and due to a cat's drinking technique, the shape of the side wall only plays a subordinate role here. Instead, the diameter of the Albanine & Knuffl® Drinking Bowl for Cats should match the length of your cat's whiskers (see here).


FRESH, COOL WATER

The inwardly curved base minimises contact with the floor. In combination with the largest possible volume as a freshness retention function – an impressive 0.85 litres in the case of the ‘180 - Crystal Glass’ – the water stays cool and fresh for much longer when the floor is warm.

All 3 Trinkschalen für Katzen (Drinking Bowl for Cats) by Albanine & Knuffl® have a total height of 6 cm, which is still acceptable from a cat's point of view. This ensures that a reasonable volume is achieved for all 3 sizes.
