Hard porcelain
Crafted to the very highest standards in a first class manufactory and using the highest-quality raw materials – the premium porcelain for Albanine & Knuffl® is fired at approximately 1400° Celsius to a very high strength. A complex, traditional process of semi-automatic wheel throwing and turning makes the "white gold" of the Albanine & Knuffl® Porcelain Series approximately 40% more impact-resistant than today's conventional porcelain – which is usually pressed from granules in the Far East. Of course, only the first-class, albeit significantly more expensive, semi-automatically wheel-thrown and turned premium porcelain "from the old days" is used for the Albanine & Knuffl® Katzenteller für Katzen® (Cat Plate for Cats).

Manufactured to the very highest standards – with perfect craftsmanship and using the highest quality raw materials – the hot glass from the furnace is mouth-blown at 1200° Celsius into a negative beechwood mold. After many further steps to size and shape the drinking bowl, the logo on the Albanine & Knuffl® Trinkschale für Katzen (Drinking Bowl for Cats) is being sandblasted instead of being printed or lacquered, as is the case with standard glasses. This results in a signature ‘for eternity’ to match the high-quality crystal glass. Just like a high-quality wine glass. It goes without saying that only lead-free crystal glass is used for Albanine & Knuffl® drinking bowls – first-class, stable, and durable.
Silicone rubber
Only the very best raw silicone from German production is used for the Premium Silikonunterlagen für Katzengeschirr (Premium Silicone Placemats for Cat Dinnerware) by Albanine & Knuffl®. The silicone is not only ‘Made in Germany’, but also officially certificated in Germany and, of course, approved for human use. It is characterised by its food safety, skin compatibility and durability and is absolutely neutral in taste and odour. Allergies and intolerances are therefore largely ruled out from the outset. The colourless, translucent silicone rubber is particularly resistant to temperature and ageing. Even exposure to sunlight or fats from wet food cause it to age only slowly.
